A wireless LAN is a LAN that uses the air as a medium of transmission to permit data transmission among fixed, or moving computers. Wireless LANs operates either in infrastructure or Mobile Ad hoc mode. In infrastructure mode, devices are connected over the air to an AP which in turn connected to a wired network. Ad hoc mode does not require any central to operate. There are two different types of routing protocols for Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET): Reactive and Proactive. Ad-Hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) is an example of Reactive routing protocol and in this paper we studied its performance by using Omnet++ simulator and INET simulation model.

Shikha Mishra and Mr. Ravi Prakash Chaturvedi
This paper highlights the assistive technology and tools for people with disabilities. These tools ensures to equal access of websites and application to everyone irrespective to mental and physical challenges. This paper also discusses the methods and approaches to ensure web accessibility compliance. We also look at a few code examples. The paper mainly focuses on Assistive Tools available for PWDs like Screen Reader that can help improve the accessibility compliance of a websites.
State of the arts of Software Design Reuse
Alhassan Adamu , Salisu Mamman Abdulrahman, Yazid Ado Ibrahim
The nucleus of every software system is its design architecture. Software design is a demanding task that requires lot of experience, expertise, and knowledge of many different types of design alternatives. Each software engineers acquires more specific knowledge as he/she participate in a new project. Experienced engineers are very vital asset to Software Company, especially in a high competitive market environment; as such reusing knowledge of experienced engineers can save a lot of cost and time to the software company. UML models are a de facto used by many software engineers during the software design stage, its receiving a widespread attention in the field of software reuse. It’s not surprising, because of the benefits that can be reaped out during the reuse of early software design is numerous, and it can leads to reuse of all related work-products down-stream the software development process. There are considerable amount of works that takes place within the scope of software designs reuse, this paper presents state of the art on the current approaches of software designs reuse. To do this, papers related to UML-models based reuse published in literature are extracted from the most relevant scientific sources (ScienceDirect, IEEE Computer society, Scopus database, and Google Scholar) were considered.
Cloud Computing and its various platforms
Manisha Malhotra and Shivani Jaswal
Cloud computing is a technology that provides various kinds of services to the user as per their need. Various benefits associated with cloud environment are reliability, scalability, security etc. This paper gives light on various service models and cloud platforms that are present in the market for the user’s requirement. This paper is basically divided into four sections: Section 1 gives a brief introduction about Cloud Computing whereas section 2 explains various service models deployed on cloud, section 3 illustrates various platforms of cloud. The section 4 concludes the summary by illustrating various differences between various platforms of cloud
Routing strategies and Movement models in DTN
Vijay Kumar
In today’s environment wireless networks have given an extensive variety of utilizations making it conceivable to effectively interconnect gadgets and frameworks which have the remote association office, for example, mobile telephones, tablets, portable PCs and so on all around the globe. In present days Internet protocols shows wasteful execution in those networks where the availability between end nodes has irregular property because of dynamic topology, for example, Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET) or Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET). The network conditions where the nodes are portrayed by opportunistic availability are alluded to as Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs). DTNs have been one of the developing territories of premium described by the huge measure of research endeavors put resources into this region over the previous decade. Routing is one of the significant issues influencing the general execution of DTN networks as far as asset utilization, information delivery and dormancy. In the course of recent years various routing protocols have been proposed for DTN networks. In this paper fundamentally three DTN routing protocols: Direct Delivery, Epidemic Routing and Spray and Wait Routing, are pushed and looked at as far as Average Packet Delivery Probability and Average Latency.
People Perceptions on Mobile Money Transfer Systems: A case study of Harare City in Zimbabwe
Tinashe Chingoriwo and Dr Farai Choga
This research was on the usage of mobile money transfer systems in Zimbabwe. There has been unending queues in banking halls of most banks in Zimbabwe. Some people have to sleep at the banking halls in a bid to get hard cash to use for transactions. Meanwhile most of the people who spend most of their time in bank queues are registered on mobile money transfer systems. Most of the transactions that they use the hard cash for are also available on the mobile money transfer platforms. This research was carried out in order to find out the Zimbabwean people’s perspectives on mobile money transfer systems. The researchers used a descriptive survey in a bid to analyse the research problem. A mixed research methodology was used and the researchers collected and analysed rigorously both qualitative and quantitative data based on the research question. In this research judgemental sampling was used by the researchers to select the respondents on the basis of their knowledge on mobile money transfer systems. The data was gathered using interviews and questionnaires. The findings revealed that factors such as trust, convenience, cost, reliability and customer service, ease of use, funding of wallets, cross network transfers, discounts, nature of goods to be bought, transaction limits and budgeting influenced the people’s perspectives. The researchers recommended that mobile network operators should come together and improve on their turnaround time in resolving customer queries. They further recommended that regulations should be put in place to ensure that all financial institutions are linked to all the mobile money transfer systems in Zimbabwe so as to promote the funding of customer mobile wallets.
Business productivity and accounting information systems
S. Mudihwa and Dr F. Choga
Organizations face a problem of human errors and omissions in the accounting information system. The purpose of the study was to determine the benefits of accounting information systems in business. To achieve this objective, the researchers adopted a qualitative research methodology. Purposive sampling was used. Open-ended questionnaires and personal interviews were used as data gathering techniques. The benefits identified included timeous production of accounting data and information, audit trail were made easy, improved organizational effectiveness and overall business productivity. The researchers concluded that the business had generally performed well. The study recommended that companies should adopt an integrated accounting information system for their entire business in order to minimize any mistakes in accounting data processing
Ensuring Quality for Accreditation and Ranking of Higher Educational Institutes through Data Mining
Renuka Agrawal, S. M. Ghosh and Jyoti Singh
The institutions these days are keen to position themselves amongst their peers. This speaks volumes for the institutional aspirations to move towards quality, and augurs well for the future evolution of higher educational institutions. Hence, there is enough justification for an increased assessment of the Quality of the country’s educational institutions. Traditionally, these institutions assumed that Quality could be deter-mined by their internal resources, viz., faculty with an impressive set of degrees and experience detailed at the end of the institute’s admission brochure, number of books and journals in the library, an ultra-modern campus, and size of the endowment, etc., or by its definable and assessable outputs, viz., efficient use of resources, producing uniquely educated, highly satisfied and employable graduates. This view of deter-mining Quality in higher education, popularly termed as the “value-addition” approach, does not measure the competencies students develop through the courses offered. The competencies are recall, understanding, and problem solving. High quality academic excellence has been considered as the most important aspect in the local and international academic platform. High standards of education in the institutes help them in enhancing the global acceptability among the students to get enrolled for a brighter future. Since quality assurance is an evolving issue the emphasis is deliberately given to excellence and quality as the distinct constituents of higher education in India. To develop India as an education hub or to become a prosperous partner in global economy, India has to qualitatively strengthen education in general and higher education with research and development in particular this paper aims to identify emerging issues and challenges in the field of Higher Education Institutes in India. Finally the paper concludes with the suggestions of some plans and required solutions that combine, employers and youth need of Expectations from various stakeholders Students, Industry, Educational Institutions, Parents and Government.
