Mobile Money Transfer Transaction Volume in Harare, Zimbabwe

This research was on the usage of mobile money transfer systems in Zimbabwe. Most of the people spent most of their time in bank queues yet they are registered on mobile money transfer systems. Most of the transactions that they use the hard cash for are also available on the mobile money transfer platforms. This research was carried out in order to find out the transaction volumes of mobile money transfer systems in Harare. The researchers used a descriptive survey design to analyse the research problem. A mixed research methodology was used and the researchers collected and analysed both qualitative and quantitative data based on the research questions. In this research judgemental sampling was used by the researchers to select the respondents on the basis of their knowledge on mobile money transfer systems. The data was gathered using interviews and questionnaires. The findings revealed that some customers are still reluctant to adopt mobile money transfer systems because they are used to the traditional banking system and this impacts mobile money transfer systems usage. The mobile money transfer systems were mostly used by the 25-30 year age group. The researchers recommended that mobile network operators should avail loan facilities on the mobile money transfer platforms. By so doing it can bring more people willing to use mobile money transfer systems on board thereby increasing the usage. If implemented, the move can enhance the usage of the mobile money transfer systems and shorten bank queues as well as getting rid of the dominant cash culture syndrome in Zimbabwe.

Strategies of improving mobile money transfer systems usage in Harare, Zimbabwe

This research was on strategies of improving the usage of mobile money transfer systems in Zimbabwe. Mobile money has been a hot topic in Zimbabwe and mobile network operators have been on the lead in offering financial services through their respective networks. Long queues appear to be a hallmark of banking halls of most banks in Zimbabwe. Hard cash is a scarce commodity and as such sleeping at banking halls has become the norm for some people out of desperation. On the other hand, most of the people who spend their time in bank queues are registered on mobile money transfer systems. The majority of the transactions that they use the hard cash for are also available on the mobile money transfer platforms. This research was carried out in order to device strategies to improve usage of mobile money transfer systems since people with mobile money transfer systems at their disposal still queue at local banks in order to get hard cash to use for transacting when they can use mobile money transfer systems to do the same transactions. A descriptive survey was used to analyse the research problem. A mixed research methodology was used and the researchers collected qualitative and quantitative data based on the research question. In this research judgemental sampling was used by the researchers to select the respondents on the basis of their knowledge on mobile money transfer systems. Interviews and questionnaires were the instruments used for data collection. The findings revealed that interoperability of mobile money transfer systems,improvement of turnaround times of query resolution, consumer education, lowering of tariffs and massive advertising are some of the strategies that can improve mobile money transfer systems. The researchers recommended that Mobile Network Operators should improve usability of their mobile money transfer platforms so as to promote usage by the elderly members of the society and the government through the central bank should improve the liquidity situation on the market so as to make the funding of customer mobile wallets easier. They further recommended that the Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) should also facilitate interoperability of their mobile money transfer systems and also lower their service charges and increase network coverage and reliability in Zimbabwe. MNOs should also improve their turnaround time in query resolution so as to ensure that customers get served timeously whenever they face mobile money transfer problems without getting inconvenienced. If adopted, these can improve the usage of the mobile money transfer systems and help shorten bank queues.

Non-Invasive CardioVascular Monitoring

Cardiovascular problem is one of the major concern in these days as majority of the people die from this problem annually. In 2015, it was responsible for 31% of the total death and estimated around 17.7 million people. The number is increasing alarmingly and sources claimed that total estimated global cost of cardiovascular disease was $863 billion in 2010 and it might likely to increase by 2030 to $1044 billion. Heart disease including Coronary Heart Disease, Hypertension, and Stroke claims the top rank in most of the countries to end a life. Meanwhile, medical science has improved a lot to stand by the patients and therefore, new possibilities are opening up. In this article, we have focused literature review on Non-Invasive cardiovascular monitoring researches undertaken so far to provide new possibilities and research trends so that we can monitor our health better and take precautions earlier with the use and advancement of Computer Science & Technology. Here we have primarily focused on PPG signal and possibilities to measure important blood parameters like Glucose, HB that indirectly or directly can provide us a status of our health when required. Recent report suggests that PPG or Photoplethysmograms is very useful for measuring heart rates, arterial age, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, emotion detection etc. Accurate measurement of PPG can open up new possibilities in non-invasive computer aided cardiac research.

Sentiment Analysis Of Product Reviews Using Machine Learning Algorithm

Sentiment analysis and opinion mining are important module of NLP (Natural Language Processing).This paper challenges the problem of sentiment polarity categorization, which is one of the fundamental problems of sentiment analysis. The process of sentiment polarity categorization is offered with detailed process descriptions. Data used in this study are online product reviews collected from Amazon.com. Experiments for review-level categorization is performed with capable outcomes. The different levels of review score are collected for mobile and baby products using support vector machine and navie bayes algorithm.
